Cone 10 means the piece was fired to a higher temperature (approx. 2345°F / 1285°C), making the porcelain more durable.

Reduction means during the firing, oxygen is reduced to allow a build up of carbon monoxide that interacts with the glaze, resulting in unique colors and textures each time (even if the same glaze recipe is used)!
